TERMS AND CONDITIONS

PRICES SHOWN IN BROCHURE
All tour prices are per person in Australian dollars. Prices shown in this brochure are valid until 22 October 2012 and will not be affected by fluctuating exchange rates – our promise to you. The Emirates flight & tour package offered in this brochure is limited and subject to availability.  

ROOM REQUESTS
On booking your tour and any extra nights you are able to request the room type from these options: single room for one person with one single bed; twin-share room for two people with two single beds; or double room for two people with one double bed. Triple-share rooms are not available.

DEPOSITS
A deposit of $400 is required at time of booking, and is non-refundable.

FINAL PAYMENT
Full and final payment of tour balance is required no later than 45 days prior to departure from Australia or cancellation fees will apply.
             
LATE BOOKINGS FOR TOURS
There is no fee for tour bookings made more than 30 days prior to departure. Reservations are unable to be accepted less than 30 days before departure.

TOUR AMENDMENT
No amendment fee will be charged if changes are requested more than 15 days prior to departure. If unforeseen circumstances require you to change your tour date, you have the option of extending it to a maximum of 12 months from the original departure date (excluding flights). Our tour operator agreement requires payment on behalf of our customers 15 days prior to departure, and does not permit us to make amendments beyond this date. Cancellation rules will therefore apply to all requests within 15 days of the tour date.

INSURANCE
Travel insurance is not included in any of the tour prices. It is highly recommended that you take out insurance before your departure from Australia. Most policies offer unlimited cover for claimable cancellation fees and lost deposits. We suggest that you check these policy features before purchase. For travel insurance offered through credit cards, ask your bank for full policy terms and conditions. Each insurance company has specific policy features and we are only able to provide information about our preferred travel insurance provider. 

CANCELLATIONS OF TOURS
All cancellations of bookings must be made in writing to Convex Travel and will be processed as at received date. Cancellation fees will apply as per the schedule below:

  • 45 days or more before departure          $400
  • 44–30 days before departure                 25% of the total tour price
  • 29–7 days before departure                   50% of the total tour price
  • 6–1 day before departure                       100% of the total tour price

There are no refunds for unused services.

AIR TICKET BOOKINGS
Convex Travel is committed to finding the best airfare available for your requirements. Once we receive the fully completed booking form or email with clear instructions, contact numbers and passport details, we begin our search. All quotes are based on best price, availability, best connection and/or the customer’s preferred airline. Within 7 days we will send you a flight itinerary and fare including taxes and charges, and the date by which payment is required in order to secure the booking. Airlines usually guarantee their prices for a limited time, and our payment date is based on this. Once payment is received, we will post your ticket to the address on your form within 4 weeks.

CANCELLATIONS OF AIR TICKETS
Once air tickets have been processed, a cancellation fee of $500 will apply.

CHANGES TO AIR TICKETS
Individual airlines may apply their own fees for changes made to issued tickets.

SIDE TRIP TICKETS
Side trips (in addition to return air tickets) may be non-refundable and/or non-changeable. Enquire about side trip conditions when booking.

OUR TOUR HOTELS
The hotel names are included in the itinerary, listed at the bottom of each day. As you will note, ‘or similar’ is always written in case our chosen hotel for that destination is unavailable at the time of booking. In this event, we will select another hotel of similar standard. You will receive a confirmed hotel list with each hotel’s contact details 30 days prior to departure.

NOT INCLUDED IN THE TOUR PRICE
The tour prices do not include passport or visa fees, any additional airport taxes or government fees charged on arrival at the destination, excess luggage fees, tips, additional meals, beverages, laundry, insurance, vaccinations, personal items or extra activities.

SPECIAL REQUESTS
If you have a special request to visit a place or see a specific item that is not listed in this tour itinerary please discuss at the time of booking. Convex Travel will always endeavour to incorporate such requests when possible, depending on the feasibility and convenience for the group. The operating company is not under any obligation to fulfil such requests nor to notify the client if a specific request cannot be met. We do, however, aim to offer a trip beyond all expectations.

RESPONSIBILITY
Convex Travel independently coordinates and organises tours of Turkey. Convex Travel does not own any of the suppliers, hotels, coaches, boats, aircraft, any transportation vehicles, any food or beverage establishments, or any services provided in Turkey. Convex Travel does the very best to select high-quality, reputable suppliers; however, Convex Travel does not accept any responsibility for the liability of any supplier. Convex Travel does not accept liability for any loss or damage to personal belongings, accident, illness, injury or death to any person, unusual weather patterns, acts of God, earthquakes, acts of terrorism, or acts of Government.

COMPLAINTS
Any problems should be immediately reported to your tour guide or representative in Turkey during the course of your holiday. If the matter cannot be resolved, the complaint should be made in writing to Convex Travel no later than 20 days after the completion of the tour. Complaints received after this period will not be considered.
